Welcome to this month’s Blogorail Orange Loop. Today we are sharing our reviews of the value resorts at Walt Disney World.
Basic Information
Disney’s newest value resort is a must visit if you have a fan of Cars, Finding Nemo, The Little Mermaid, or The Lion King! Considered a Wide World of Sports resort, its location is a bit further from the theme parks than some of the other resort options but the provided transportation gets you where you need to go in a timely fashion. Make sure to plan some time during your visit to just explore the resort because there are so many intricate details that you’ll need to visit the same locations multiple times to take in all the different experiences. For example, take a stroll (or run) on the running trail and admire Pop Century Resort across the lake while reading the signs with fun facts (some pictured above) to keep you entertained and motivated to get to the next sign and finish your walk in no time.
Room Options
One thing I consistently hear from larger families visiting Walt Disney World is that they’d prefer to all stay in one room to be together, save money, ect. Booking a family suite is the perfect way to do that! It’s the extra space you’re looking for to accommodate everyone while sleeping but there’s also common area for you to spend time together while you’re awake as well. You can still enjoy the ambiance of the resort if you’re a smaller family or would prefer a more standard room during your stay. You still get all the details just with less space.
Decor and Themes
Yes I’ve said it before but it’s all about the details at this resort. You’re completely immersed in the different themes throughout the resort in the most magical way possible. From the gigantic murals and statues to greet you as you’re driving up to the unique sketches in the lobby, you’ll always be looking around no matter how many times you’ve walked through the area because you’ll spot something new. The playground and walkway areas in the resort take you right to your favorite spots from The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Cars and Finding Nemo. Regardless of where you’re staying at the resort, you’re welcome to walk around and experience each of the different movie experiences.
Resort Activities and Amenities
When you stay at Art of Animation, you truly don’t have to leave the resort to enjoy your vacation at all. Even with four magical theme parks calling your name, this is the perfect resort for a taste of the Disney magic without actually visiting one of the parks. Take time to shop in the store located off the lobby then head over to the quick service dining location to grab a meal or snack before heading off for a dip in the pool and cozying up in your room after a long adventurous day. Rainy days can be spent at the arcade and if you’re looking for a bit more activity be sure to check out the running trail and playground. Despite falling into the value resort category, there are many different options offered right at the resort so you’re sure to find something to do.

I do love this resort 🙂 The signs with the fun facts are great. I’ve done a run around there a couple of times and they keep me entertained!
We loved our stay at Art of Animation. The Cars Suite was the perfect size and then some for our family +1 more adult. My kids love taking their picture with all the large character around the property.
Great review, I’d love to stay in a Little Mermaid room!
Nice coverage of the resort! I especially like the picture groupings. I’m a visual guy. Good job!
