Welcome to those of you joining me from Frontierland Station and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the final stop on our Magical Blogorail.
Looking back at my first trip to Walt Disney World, I couldn’t have told you if there was even music playing in any of the parks. It was so overwhelming at times and I was far too immersed in trying to figure out where to go and what to do to appreciate all the details that Disney offers. Being able to visit as often as we do, I’m come to look forward to some of those familiar sounds and spend a good bit of time listening to Disney music when we’re not in the parks.
One place in particular that I love for the music and sounds is World Showcase in EPCOT. As you’re strolling through the countries, you can hear songs from their land. The different languages and styles are intriguing but all seem to go together as you’re moving between countries without clashing.
Another way the World Showcase music is a bit different is that a good bit of the music is live throughout the day (and night!). Seeing the different performers after grabbing a snack and drink in the countries is a great excuse to sample lots of yummy treats while taking in some world class entertainment.
Probably my most favorite time of year to visit World Showcase is during the holidays. Listening to the holiday music during their Holidays Around the World experience. Hearing some of my favorite holiday songs in different languages just gets me even more into the holiday spirit! Of course you can’t forget special holiday presentations like the Candlelight Processional. Even without sitting through the show, you’ll hear the music while walking through.
There are other special times during the year when World Showcase and EPCOT have special musical events. The Sounds Like Summer series is a great way to spend a warm summer evening. During the International Flower and Garden Festival, there’s a Flower Power Concert Series that also brings some classics acts to the park. EPCOT’s International Food and Wine Festival isn’t left out. They’ve got their Eat to the Beat Concert Series.

What a great conclusion post to our loop, Lynn! Thanks for sharing your love of the World Showcase music with us! I have not been able to visit during the Christmas season yet — definitely a bucket list item for sure — but when I do, the Candlelight Processional and the Holidays around the World are at the top of my list to experience! Out of all of the items you mentioned, do you have a favorite? Thanks again for writing with us!
I love the music in the World Showcase too. It really sets the mood when you visit each country. And you are right, Christmastime is extra special! Do you have a favorite country during Holidays Around the World?
I love the music of World Showcase! The Christmas music is the best! We saw the Candlelight Processional a few years ago. It was amazing! I also love the Mariachi music from Mexico!
I love taking in all the Streetmosphere in World Showcase. I really love the Beatles cover band they have in the U.K. Do you have a favorite band or music performer?
My son loves the drummers in Japan, but my heart lies with Voices of Liberty!
World Showcase does offer great music! I love the videos you shared. Have you been to any of the special concerts there? What was your favorite?
What a great way to end this week’s loop. Mike started it off with American Adventure, and you’re finishing up with “the rest of the world.” Love it! I could stand and watch those drummers in Japan for hours – they are absolutely mesmerizing. We got to experience the Christmas music this past December too.
World Showcase is a true celebration of the senses. How fitting that square in the middle is American Gardens Theater; host to the Candlelight Processional, Eat to the Beat, Flower Power and Sounds Like Summer Concert Series, and back to the Voices of Liberty for July 4th. Music brings us together!
You talked about 3 of my must hear stops – Marischi Cobra, Matsuriza Taiko Drummer, and Off Kilter…while in World Showcase! I love them all for different reasons.. each capturing your attention to the fullest and entertaining you with their cultures music. I can’t say which one I like best because they all are so great..
I can spend the entire day listening to the music around World Showcase. And I love when you pick up the sound of one of them from the other side of the lake and you head right over.
