Bringing something home to remind you of your vacation is a fantastic idea. Spending a small fortune on something that looks awesome right now but a year from now will be in a garage sale isn’t a fantastic idea. Here are some suggestions on things you can do or buy to help you remember your vacation without breaking the bank.
Pressed Pennies
For just fifty one cents you can have a souvenir you made yourself. Machines are located all over Walt Disney World Resort and each machine offers a few choices of designs to imprint on your penny. Check out Pinterest for ideas on ways to display your pennies once back home or you can purchase a small book at Disney to keep the pennies in.
Pins
An inexpensive way to remember something about your vacation is to purchase a coordinating pin. Many of the attractions have pins in their gift shops as you exit the attraction. Looking at that pin back home will take you right back to that first ride on Tower of Terror.
From Home
Buying things before you get to Disney can save you a good bit of money as well. Retailers like Target have lots of different Disney themed items that can be more budget friendly than buying things in the parks. The Disney Store sells items you can purchase in the parks but watching for a sale or free shipping can help you save. If you want something a little more unique, check out sites like Etsy for something to remember your vacation with. Even dollar stores can have Disney items and be very budget friendly.
Memories over Merchandise
Grab some extra maps while you’re in the parks and use them to cover a frame from a craft store and use that to show off a favorite picture from your trip. Having those memories will mean more than anything you’ll buy while you’re on vacation.
