Magic Bands – your new Key to the World from Disney. This waterproof band will allow you entrance to the parks, access to your Disney resort room and allow you to get through the FastPass+ line.
My Disney Experience – Guests who book their Walt Disney World Resort stay in advance will have the option to customize their Magic Bands by selecting the color of the band as well as the name printed on the back of the band. You’ll still receive Magic Bands if you skip this step, don’t see the reminder in your My Disney Experience account or book after the window to receive the bands in advance. The bands you’ll receive if you didn’t choose your color in advance are currently gray. Never fear – there are options to make your Magic Band stand out in a crowd.

If you are feeling crafty, check out sites like Pinterest for ideas on how to make your bands look more unique. People have added things like jewels, nail polish, paint or temporary tattoos to their bands with success.

Disney has made a wide array of gadgets and gizmos you can use to decorate your Magic Bands. Stop in just about any merchandise location and you’ll be able to find something to spruce your band up. Things like wraps for the strap of the band, little characters that fit into the holes on the band and even watch faces that slide on the band are available for purchase.
While poking around Disney, you may misplace your Magic Band or maybe you’ve found some of the new adorable bands that have characters and attraction artwork on them. This means you can simply sport your new band without fussing with adding anything else to it. If you do purchase a new band, be sure it’s linked properly to your My Disney Experience account so you’ll be able to use your park tickets, get into your room and save wait time by using your FastPass+ experiences.
