Welcome to my new “home away from home” where I plan on sharing all kinds of fun information with you from travel tips and suggestions to parenting tips and tricks I’ve learned over the past seven (yes seven! Where has the time gone??) years to just opening up about me and sharing my thoughts, ideas and opinions along the way.
I will be the first to admit that I’m a very guarded person with very thick, high walls for “outsiders” to get through before they learn about the “real” me. Hopefully through this blog and journey I’ll be able to lower those walls a little bit and meet some amazing people along the way. Please be patient with me. I’m making an effort to be less guarded and it’s still a work in progress at this point.
In addition to this blog, you can also check out my contributions to an amazing site dedicated to Walt Disney World, WDWFanZone, here. Stuart and Lisa have an amazing site and great group of people writing for them and I’m so thrilled to be a part of the group. I’d been tossing around the idea of a blog for a few months when I was approached and asked to write for them. I love to write and love Disney almost as much as my children so it seemed like the perfect fit for me. My experience has been nothing but awesome and I encourage you to check out their site for lots of great tips, tricks and information.
I’m also lucky enough to be involved with another amazing Disney site, the Disney Driven Life. I’m currently the Blog Administrator and Blogger Liaison which is a fancy way of saying I help out where I can. The bloggers for the DDL are amazing and have so many great things to share while focusing on leading a Disney lifestyle outside of the parks.
When I’m not writing about Disney, I’m usually planning a trip or spending time at Disney! Before you think I’m one of those lucky moms who can just run off to Disney whenever she wants, I’m so not. I love The Mouse and go visit whenever we’re able to save up the money for a trip and get everyone’s schedules to coordinate for a trip. To be able to afford my Disney addiction, I work as a Financial Administrator. I’ve got two amazing boys that I love more than anything in this world and truly make life worth living. Their spunky personalities, witty comments and gleaming smiles are things I could not imagine a day without. For these two little monsters I have my husband of six years to thank. It’s been a wild ride but so worth it for me to be the person and in the place I am today.
My blog will mainly be about me – my life, thoughts, struggles, great days, not so great days and everything in between. I will include bits about my family as well because they’re such an important part of my life. My goal is to accurately share my life but only include those who are comfortable with inclusion on my blog. I want this to be a happy, inspiring, supportive environment for everyone involved. I hope you’ll share your comments and stories throughout this wild ride.
Let’s get started!
