Summer’s in full swing for us and the kids are always looking for something fun to do. We live in a wonderful neighborhood with lots of kids on a cul de sac so there are always kids outside playing together. Finding something that everyone can play together can be a challenge sometimes. Enter Zing Toys. My boys love playing outside so when they saw this package with the X6 Zoom Rocketz and Sky Gliderz they couldn’t contain themselves. We had to head straight outside to try them out. Of course the little princess couldn’t be left out so she tagged along too.
First we tested out the rocket blaster.
Everything was packaged well and this required very little set up. There didn’t seem to be real direction on how to assemble everything but using the picture on the box as reference made it doable.
After just a couple of minutes, rockets were flying through the air. My middle kiddo has been in speech and occupational therapy for several months now. While he struggles with some things, he was able to make the rockets blast off (he did really have to jump on it because he’s a bit on the skinny side). My oldest son didn’t have any problem stomping with one foot and making the rockets fly.
After a few tries, they realized by adjusting how hard they stomped that they could control a bit more where the rocket would go. They also tried to see how high they could go. Little princess just had fun chasing them and picking them up.
Next we tried out the gliders. There wasn’t any real assembly here which is always a good thing!
Of course I went into “Mom Mode” and tried to get them as far away from trees and the house as I could but I wasn’t quite quick enough…
The boys started to get the hang of it and were able to better aim their planes to land where they wanted them to (or at least not on the roof).
We live on a street that isn’t very busy at all so they were able to send the gliders on some pretty long distance flights. I was impressed by how far they flew. A couple of little tricks were mentioned on the package and the boys have been working on those.
These would be perfect to take to the beach, campground or picnic you’re heading to this summer as well as just for playing outside. Ours will be heading to the fire station for 4th of July for the kiddos to play with before the fire works start. Having something the kids can master quickly that several can play with at a time is a huge bonus. Make sure you head out and get yours today!
