It’s no surprise that I’m not in shape. After three children and spending the rest of my time working or volunteering somewhere, working out is the last thing on my mind let alone my to do list. Pre-children I spent an hour or two at the gym every day and was about 100 pounds lighter than I am now. Before my excuse always was “why get in shape if I’m not done having babies?”. Well, now that the babies are done, my only excuse is being crazy busy. While we’re at Disney I have no problem walking around all day long and have been looking for a way to bring some of that activity home with me to try and get me motivated to get a bit more healthy (let’s not go crazy – I still don’t plan on eating anything green!). Ironically I received an email about the Skinnygirl Healthy Habits 30 Day Challenge. Here’s a bit of the email:

That sounds pretty painless right?? I was excited to see you had to select a goal when you signed up on Facebook and that the goals were all very attainable and fit the lives of most girls I know so everyone could participate and be motivated. I’m familiar with Bethenny from The Real Housewives of New York as well as her spin off shows and have followed her along since then. Having a less than ideal childhood myself, I could relate to her feelings and reactions to situations that were part of the shows. She’s one of those girls I could see myself hanging out with and it not being completely awkward.
So here I am all signed up for this newest challenge. I picked the working out three times a week as my goal. If the stars align correctly, I should be able to do this without too much of a problem.
