A few days ago I shared that I signed up for the Skinnygirl Healthy Habits 30 Day Challenge. When I signed up, I was asked to choose something I was working towards in the challenge. For me, I picked working out three times a week as something I wanted to do more of. So far, it’s gone alright for me. As always, I started off strong then life got in the way. My princess got the stomach bug and that ate away several days out of the week. Just prying her off me long enough to shower was a challenge, let alone leaving her home long enough to do some form of exercise. Some day in my dream home, everyone will have their own bedroom and maybe I’ll have a space at home where I can work out. Right now the princess is still in my bedroom so that limits my time pretty much all day. Yes I know it’s an excuse but it’s a legit one. Anyone who’s dealt with a sleep deprived toddler can vouch that you don’t want to wake a sleeping baby!
One thing I love about the challenge is that there’s a daily motivation/inspiration message. Many of them can be found on the Skinnygirl Pinterest board which is helpful. Sometimes you just need those few words to keep you on track or get you moving again.
Have you signed up for the challenge yet? It’s not too late. Honestly it’s never too late to just get out and get moving. I have no desire to be the next Barbie but being in better shape will allow me to be around to pester and embarrass my children (and grandchildren) a lot longer (and go to Disney more too!!).
