Things “these days” are so crazy and fast passed that sometimes we all just need a reminder to slow down a little bit and simplify things. Hopefully I can share some tips that will help you slow down just a little bit each week.
This week I wanted to start with something pretty easy – taking a simple stroll. It could be anywhere – your neighborhood, a shopping mall, the beach, anywhere you can that’s nearby. Instead of getting caught in the hustle and bustle of always running from one appointment or activity to the next, slow down and enjoy your surroundings. You will be surprised what you notice when you’re not in such a rush. This is also a great way to spend time with your family and get everyone moving for a little bit of exercise.
If you’re not familiar with a local walking trail or area to check out, try your local “tourist” visitor’s center. For an even bigger challenge, try not to chat on your cell phone, make a “to do” list in your head or other things. Take in the scenery and enjoy your time.
