So a few weeks back I told you that I kind of go “over the top” (hubby’s words – not mine) when it comes to birthday parties (and just about everything else). Well, we’re sadly not much further along than that point because things here have just become too crazy. I wanted to share my progress on the Phineas and Ferb party as well as the plans that still need to come together and let you share your suggestions with me so off we go!
Who: Corbin’s classmates and Summer Camp friends. Both places have rules in place that if you’re inviting one friend, you’ve got to invite all of them unless it’s an “all boy” or “all girl” party. His friends from school have been invited and the Summer Camp kids will be invited in the next week or so.
What: This one’s easy – a birthday party! 🙂 Since most of the kids are getting older, the adults sometimes have time to chat too which is nice.
Where: We’re recycling last year’s pool party idea (it’s honestly the best idea in the South in the middle of July). We do ask the parents to make sure someone stays with their child – this isn’t just a drop and run party. If it were in our backyard or something that would be another story but the pool’s just too dangerous.
When: The day after Corbin (and hubby’s) actual birthday!
Why: This one’s easy too – because I love my baby!! 🙂
How: I’m still not sure myself. lol We pulled it off last year so I know we’ll be able to do it again this year. Hopefully I’ll get a friend or two to help me out.
We still have to get some of the details together but I know it will come together just like it always does. Check out my other posts coming up this week on treat bags, the cake, food and other fun stuff for the party!! I’ll also show you how I plan everything out so (hopefully) everything comes together on time.
