Most of us are counting down to a long weekend this weekend!! These are usually a blessing and a curse in my world. I’ve already started my “to do” list for the weekend and it’s already to three pages! For the past year or so, I was working four ten hour days at work so every other weekend was a four day weekend! That was fabulous – I got so many things done around the house that I didn’t have to stress and worry about them during the week. Now that the boys are in school, my schedule’s back to five eight hour days. While I love being home with the kiddos, I miss the four day weekends so very much! Hubby just doesn’t get nearly as many things done (on his last day off, he washed the dishes that didn’t fit in the dishwasher….yup that’s it and yes he just had the baby during the day) as I would/could get done during the day. Thankfully I truly love my job and it is important that I’m there every day because it never fails that something comes up for me to take care of so I’d be either working from home or going in on my days off to take care of them.
So here I am looking at a long weekend again and I was so excited! Yes I said “was”….all those little projects that I’ve been putting off really need to get finished. My three page “to do” list is probably a bit much but I’m going to do as much as I can to get a majority of the things checked off that list!! Hopefully I’ll be able to report back that I made amazing progress next week! Here are some of the highlights:
