In addition to the candy coated chocolates, there was also bags of peanut candy coated chocolates too! Since my oldest is allergic to peanuts, he skipped this taste test but loved watching everyone else testing and hearing what they had to say. To me, these were harder to tell the difference between the Unreal and name brand bag you might pick up in the check out aisle at the grocery store.
Next up was the chocolate caramel nougat bar. This was by far my oldest’s favorite out of everything! He ate an entire bar on his own 🙂 The ratio of goodies inside to chocolate was very good in my opinion.

We moved on to the chocolate caramel peanut nougat bar. Again, my oldest had to sit this one out because of the peanuts but my little one really enjoyed this. This one was also my hubby’s favorite of the bunch!

Last but certainly not least was the peanut butter cups. This is what I was most looking forward to! I’ve been know to keep a stash of little peanut butter cups in orange wrappers in my desk at work when I need a sugary treat. I loved the cute little imprint on the bottom of the cups and the fact that they didn’t have a wrapper on them like the name brand kind. The peanut butter in the middle of these cups was more creamy than what I was used to. They weren’t bad, but certainly not what I was expecting when I bit into them.
It was great to be able to give my guests fact sheets about the candy they were eating to be able to compare to “normal” candy that’s readily available.

After all the tasting, we took a look at this Youtube video to see what others had to say about the candy. We waited until the end so we got real feedback from everyone at the party but loved seeing where the ingredients came from, how the candy was made and what other people thought too.
Overall we thought the candy was very close to, if not better than in some cases, the leading brands we’d become accustomed to over the years. I loved that it seemed like the chocolate didn’t melt all over little hands and faces as quickly as it did with other brands. My party guests are looking forward to a candy coated chewy candy similar to ones with an “s” on them and wanted to know when they’d be available in our local area to start purchasing their families favorites. I was excited to see on the Unreal site that the brand would be coming to Target in October. I haven’t seen it at our local store yet but will certainly be on the lookout for it!
My guest’s favorite part of the party??? The treat bags of course!! A little bit of early trick or treating made fun for everyone! It was fantastic to have people over and not feed the kids a bunch of junk. This time we actually felt good about giving them some sweet treats to try out while the mommies got a few minutes to chat and catch up.
I’m sure you’re wondering when I’m going to get to that giveaway I mentioned in the title….well, here it is! I saved two goody bags from the party and I’m going to give them away to two lucky readers. Simply leave a comment on this post about your favorite candy to give out to your trick or treaters and random.org will pick a winner after 8:00 PM Eastern time Tuesday night (10/23).
