I was given the chance to get a peek at the new Beautiful, Magical Amazing Ballet book e-book by Mary Lee. Being a book lover and reader for many, many years, I was so excited I’m a Full Time Mommy gave me the opportunity to tell you all about it. When I’m looking for a book, I want something that pulls you into the world you’re reading about with both the words as well as with some really awesome illustrations. This book meets both criteria. Spending all day with my nose in a book is pretty much a thing of the past so books that have a message are important to me without being too wordy. The kids (yes – even the little princess) love to read on their own or listen to a story someone’s reading. My youngest son is a new “read to self” reader so books that are a real story but aren’t too long are perfect for him. This book is a perfect fit for all of those thing I’ve mentioned above. There’s a cute story about Mia going to ballet and how she handles it when things don’t go quite as she plans. The illustrations in this book are wonderful – simple but detailed, colorful and entertaining enough to keep the reader involved throughout the story. Length is also another bonus of this book; it’s not too long but the story is still well told. Even though it was about the ballet, the boys were just as interested to see what happens as if it would have been a pirate or another character. Personally I think it’s because the moral of the story is something they could relate to. Who doesn’t look forward to something then it doesn’t go quite like you envisioned?
Beautiful, Magical, Amazing Ballet is available on Amazon for Kindle or in paperback. This would make a wonderful holiday, birthday or just because gift for a little princess in your life.
Be sure to take a moment and follow the author Mary Lee on both Twitter and Facebook to hear the latest updates about her work. Mary Lee also has several other books available on her website if ballet isn’t really your thing.
Disclosure: I was provided a copy of the e-book to give a review of this book but was not compensated in any other way. All opinions are completely my own.
