Another week, another update 🙂
Wednesday marked 13 weeks for little Baby Dora. Of course I just want a happy, healthy baby put I’m pulling for a girl this time (along with just about everyone I know!). I’m so anxious to find out the sex of this baby so I can just quit saying “the baby” or “it”.
As for Baby Dora’s room (my boss picked the baby’s current name), nothing’s even close to ready yet. While we’re in our current house, the baby will share the master bedroom. It’s plenty big enough to so it will work while we’re still house hunting. My goal this weekend is to get some of the furniture moved around and maybe, just maybe get the crib set up!!!
A couple of weeks ago there was a huge kid’s consignment sale locally and I scored some great deals on a baby jumper (yes I know we won’t need it right away but for $10 I’ll store it until I need it), a bouncy seat, play mat, travel swing and some other fun stuff. This past weekend I went to several garage sales (a normal weekend activity in my house) and was finally able to find a few neutral things (onsies, sleepers and a super cute Easter outfit!!). My closet’s like half full of baby things and I’ve paid under $100 for what’s in there so far. I love deals!! Having everything in the house, especially the clothes, makes it all seem so real now.
Last week was another doctor’s appointment. When the doctor came in she explained that we might not be able to hear the heart beat but I shouldn’t worry which, of course, made me worry instantly. She couldn’t hear the heart beat which lead to a a very quickly ultra sound to confirm everything was fine and dandy. Thankfully it was and Baby Dora’s heart beat was 163. Four more weeks until I go back which is just before our Disney trip. I was hoping to tell the grandmas the sex of the baby during the trip but it’s not looking like I’ll have another ultra sound before then. 🙁
My pants, as I’ve previously complained about, were getting a bit too tight so I am finally in maternity pants pretty much all the time now. There are a few things that I can still make fit with a little creativity. I need to scour eBay before the Disney trip to get some shorts for sure.
With my last baby, I got terrible migraines – so bad in fact that I visited the hospital to be treated which wasn’t so fun. The headaches are back full force this time and I spent pretty much all of Sunday in bed in the dark. I’m hoping that they don’t get as bad as last time. The morning sickness hasn’t really went away yet which is a little disappointing but fingers crossed it will be gone soon.
That’s about all the updates for this week. I’m so thankful pretty much everything’s going well to this point. Every night I pray that the good things continue and March comes quickly so we can meet this sweet little jellybean.
