Well another week’s passed so I guess it’s time for another update!
Last Friday was another doctor’s appointment. She confirmed there was just one in there (Carter was just not happy about that and Corbin thought there were three because I had three different ultrasound pictures) and that all seemed fine at this point which I’m so thankful for.
I was feeling better for a couple of days and I was starting to think that maybe the worst was over. Obviously I thought too soon because I’m totally exhausted again and feeling like I could be sick any minute. Hopefully the yuckiness will be over soon and I’ll be able to feel well enough to better enjoy this pregnancy.
Disney’s still worrying me just a bit. Sometimes just walking around here leaves me totally whipped and breathing harder than normal. The doctor confirmed this is just all part of the deal and it’s just a reminder that I need to slow down more. I’m trying to remember but it’s so hard sometimes – I’m always go, go, going!
The doctor changed my due date from April 6 to April 4 which means my c-section will be on Wednesday, March 28, 2012. Honestly, that’s one of the best things about a c-section: knowing exactly when your baby will be here! I totally remember how terribly hard it was waiting to go into labor with my first son and I’m thankful I didn’t have to do that again. Ironically, if I stay in the hospital two days and am released on Friday, that’s the boy’s last day of school before their week of spring break! We’re going right from having two kids to three home full time for nine whole days! This should be pretty interesting to say the very least.
I’ve been trying hard to start talking with the boys and explaining that they can’t be running around the house when a baby’s sleeping and that little toys can’t be around a baby and other things like that. They’re not happy about all these changes but we’re taking baby steps to try and keep everyone as happy as possible.
It seems the question for everyone once they know I’m pregnant is how I’m feeding the baby. I never really know how to answer because honestly I haven’t decided yet. Corbin didn’t want any part of breastfeeding and Carter was in the RNICU so it was never an option. While I know the health benefits are great, there are lots of other things to consider and I just haven’t decided 100% yet.
My free time this week (yes I realize you’re probably laughing right now) was spent packing for Disney. I hope I’ve got everything!! It never fails that I forget something – it’s just a matter of time before I realize what I’ve forgotten. Hopefully it’s just something small that wasn’t really needed. We all have clothes and I have lots of food and snacks so we’ve got the basics!
That’s about it for this week! Next week I’ll let you know how my first time doing Disney pregnant went. Keep your fingers crossed that it’s a good report!
